Waterfall on the Almond

What a cracking night it was in Edinburgh tonight, just ripe for a wee wander up the Almond to try out the monochrome long exposure stuff again. This water fall was the perfect subject! There's a closer shot on Flickr but I liked the long shot up the river.

Shot with a Nikon D90, 18-70 DX lens with a red ND filter to give as long an exposure as possible. Raw image processed in Lightroom 2 and final mucking about applied in Photoshop CS4.

I'm really liking this style of photography and at last getting good use out the new tripod. Just wish 7dayshop.com would ship my grey ND filter so I can do this stuff in colour too!
