A long wait

We caught the bus to the city centre just after 6 am and then there was an hour wait for the train to Stansted. The flight was delayed by 45 minutes but I was pleased that there was no more serious disruption given the weather conditions. Two of our friends staying with us were delayed for hours by flooding on the East Coast mainline trying to get to Leeds. We arrived in Gerona and drove back via a Spanish supermarket to stock up. I shall be glad to get back to my usual routines after a very busy, tiring but enjoyable week.
