Well That Was Fun!

An earlyish start from Tywyn meant that we missed the worst of the hold ups .... but Oh boy!  It was wet!!  This on the main road between Welshpool and Shrewsbury was about the worst but there were numerous other places where run-off from fields or side roads ran like rivers either along or across the roads. Rain remained a feature all the way to Ruth's.  We took a different route to usual after learning of a motorway closure ahead, the roads in England were less wet but passing through Much Wenlock the evidence of the downpour remained in the large amounts of stones, mud and debris along a stretch of road in the town below a hill.   

We dropped Bella at Ruth's and I dropped Jamie and Michael a couple of hours later at Reading train station for their onward journeys.  Meg and I are settled near Newbury for the weekend.  Some R&R for me plus a bulb event on Sunday in Winchester.
