Rainy Day

We were up early and got on the road a bit after 8:00 am. It was raining when we left and seven hours later, it is still coming down. We stopped at a grocery store for Skylar. Her mom is such a good cook; she can hardly eat college food. My Kim almost quit after a week - college food made her very sick. Spoiled children. Lol. Sky’s roommate’s grandmother sent her a home cooked meal last night so she decided to have that rather than go out to lunch. She was the smart one; my brisket sandwich was too salty and greasy. Hubby had to eat half of it. It has been hard getting decent photos of the Fall foliage in between the wiper blades. And the rain has picked up in intensity so it would be impossible now. We have had one close call; a car in the left lane decided to move to the center lane the same time as hubby. Missed us by inches. Yes, I audibly gasped even though he is not pleased when I do that. We have to fill up the gas tank before the trip ends. Our ETA is 4:45. Thanks so much for the stars, heart and nice comments yesterday. Glad you liked my critters. It is the weekend folks! Enjoy yourselves but stay safe. “How beautiful the leaves grow old. How full of light and colour are their last days”. - JOHN BURROUGHS
