Female Cardinal

We spent the morning relishing in the joy of a quiet Sunday. We had breakfast and said our morning prayers. I put away dishes I had used at Jamie’s and those hubby was clueless about where they belong. This female cardinal was having breakfast from the fresh seed I put in the feeders. Her companions were happy that hubby had cleaned and refilled the bird baths. He updated his gift card records and searched for a Chilis in Nashville. We have to use some of those cards. Besides, they are free. We took a nap before heading to Glen Burnie to watch Brooklyn’s soccer game. The field is at least 90 minutes from home. But the drive has been pleasant; the fall foliage is so beautiful. Next weekend’s game is almost four hours away so we may miss it. We are almost at the field. Brooklyn will have wonderful weather for the game. It is currently 75°F although the temps will begin to lower by game time. Wishing you a fine end to your weekend. Stay safe. Thanks for stopping by my journal. “It was a beautiful, bright autumn day, with air like cider and a sky so blue you could drown in it.” - Diana Gabaldon, 'Outlander'
