Tomorrow we have friends coming for lunch from Glasgow, Linlithgow and Blairlogie. But it all depends on the weather overnight.
I won’t know until the morning if the road conditions and trains are all operating, which makes food preparation difficult.

Tonight is forecast to bring more rain and strong winds. Compared to the rest of Scotland, especially the northeast, we have so far got off unscathed, with nothing more than the normal wet and windy autumn gales.

The real damage is further north and our hearts go out to them as homes in Brecin and surrounding villages are forced to evacuate.

The  Met Office first started giving names to storms in 2015 as a way of alerting the public to the forces of the rain and wind.

On a lighter note M acquired some very expensive new trousers he spotted in our new charity shop Debra . They cost  £18.
They look new.  So I Googled them – Meyers £150.
Now that's what I call a bargain. He had only gone in to drop of some old clothes.
