The hunter and the hunted
Our wildlife camera picked up this mouse and sparrowhawk on the balcony- but at different times.
I have no idea how a mouse came to be there, but the camera recorded it at 3.15 am. and the sparrowhawk at 4pm.
The little birds sense the presence of the hawk in the daytime because their numbers to the bird feeders have diminished dramatically.
I can only hope that the hawk eventually gets bored and seeks out new hunting grounds.
Thank you all for your kind comments about yesterday’s blip. We are both deeply flattered.
