L'Estranges in the Night at Chobham Festival

This is a photo of Joanna Forbes L'Estrange and her husband Alexander L'Estrange performing at St Lawrence Church this evening as part of the Chobham Festival. They were accompanied on piano and violin by their son, Harry, an incredibly talented young man who won't be taking his GCSEs until next year which means he is probably still just 15 years old. Both Joanna and Alexander are classically trained but they switch genres with ease - Joanna was with The Swingle Singers for several years. Tonight's concert was on the theme of love and included classic songs from the likes of Carol King,  Joni Mitchell, George Gershwin, Cole Porter, Burt Bacharach and Michel Legrand. Excellent musicianship enjoyed by a highly appreciative audience, ourselves included. Well worth seeing if you get the chance, especially if Harry is playing with them.
