Quiz night
To Camberley this evening for the annual quiz in aid of Camberley Citizens Advice. The church hall was packed with eager quiz teams. There was a new quizmaster this year who was sporting a gold, floral patterned jacket. We had some late changes of personnel on our team but still tied for second place with two other teams. Unfortunately we didn't win the tiebreaker and so missed out on the second place prize of Celebrations chocolates. We would have avoided the tiebreak if I had remembered it was Catherine Howard who was the second of Henry Vlll's wives to be executed after Anne Boleyn. I knew it was one of the Catherines but thought it was Parr. That's the common refrain of quiz nights, the 'if onlys'. Lined up at the front of the stage are some of the raffle prizes - I didn't win one of those either!
