A better day today!

The 60 mph gales have gone and there's not been a drop of rain all day.  We even had sunshine for an hour this afternoon.  After yesterday's storm we awoke to find everything in tact, no fallen trees or broken slates and to my great surprise the farm pond had stayed within its banks.  However there'll be a few hours spent in the week raking up a thick layer of leaves and twigs from all around the gardens.  It's times like this that MrsDB really appreciates the Stihl leaf blower I bought here for Christmas last year.
