Thank goodness you're safe!

Not only is this the prettiest and tallest conifer in the garden, it stayed upright this weekend!  On inspecting it this morning I noticed that it has a couple of new cones showing.  You may think there's nothing special about that but in the 28 years since we planted it this is only the second time we've found any.  The farmer, who is a tree expert,(arborealist) was amazed at it (I think what he was really amazed at was that I actually selected such a beauty!).  He described it as a breed of Cape Pine.
