The plumber arrived with a bottle of super strength, for use by trade and professional only, drain unblocking liquid. It didn’t unblock the pipe.

Because the pipe goes down at the back of a kitchen cupboard and reappears outside further down the wall he decided to take the pipe cutting option and sliced through at the bottom in the cupboard. It still wasn’t easy to unblock it . . . but with a variety of tools and brushes and finally my hosepipe it eventually cleared. It was so solid it’s hard to believe that water was running through until a few days ago. Then came the job of replacing all the pipework as the washing machine and boiler also drain out that way.

That was an expensive blocked pipe but I was lucky to have someone willing to give up his Saturday morning to sort it.

In the afternoon a short walk from home. One I’ve done often but I managed to find a different composition.
