Break for the border

Broke camp this morning and after a last look at the ski jumpers we drove round to a windy road we’ve been eyeing up for a while.
This one runs from Kranjska Gora over a high pass to Bovec - an old trading route but rebuilt by Russian prisoners of war a hundred years ago. It’s now famed for having 50 hairpin bends - we only did half of them, twice (up and down).
So up we went to Vrsic Pass, and then a hike up to a top called Slemenova Spica.I’m afraid I can’t help out with pronouncing either.
A stunning walk with views far and wide. We were so lucky the weather held and was clear- by the time we were back at our van the clouds were gathering.
But this was our farewell to Slovenia and we drove in to Italy, a quick shop, then into Austria and our next stop on the way to Salzburg.
