Sun and sea
Late afternoon Saturday, still a lot of force and undertow throwing waves at the seawall.
This is just East of the Old Chain Pier pub (in first extra) .. the other end of the structure nearest the sea (black roof) was boarded up, having had the sea break in. Someone else who had come to look said she used to work there 30 years ago; then the bar was in that section. Same thing, the sea broke in, knocked all the bottles off the bar.
In second extra, looking the other way towards Granton, in the left hand corner there's Edinburgh's Steamer Lane; people surfing the waves and a lot of people in the water. This is just East from the breakwater. @pensioner blipped Granton harbour on Friday.
By the time we were out there was sunshine, and the wind had rotated to come from the West. Walked down by the Trinity path, back by tram.
