Handkerchief tree
Walked through the Botanics in the middle of the morning; staff report was a few branches down, but no real damage. They were busy clearing leaves and small sticks off the main paths. This is Davidia involucrata var. vilmoriniana, showing a fine crop of nuts. Native to S China, also found as a fossil in Alberta, Canada.
Mostly dry day, 12C, SW wind. Decent spells of sunshine.
