Purple Beautyberry
This morning I was in the Butterfly House for a volunteer work session. There were five of us and we achieved quite a lot in the 90 minutes that we were there - sorting out some plants that the park gardeners had pulled up and left for us this week, including a huge pile of dahlias. Last year we tried to overwinter some tubers, but they did not survive. This year we are trying again but with a different method and location.
Lots of cutting back and tidying up inside the BH and we also cut the grass.
Next time there will be a load of cutting back and weeding if the weather plays nicely.
I went out for a walk locally at lunchtime and noticed this bush with purple berries on which I thought was unusual. I looked it up and think it's called a Purple Beautyberry.
This afternoon we have been setting up our new TV that arrived yesterday. We have been seeing some distortion of picture and colours recently, but after a few minutes, it sorts itself out. However, on Friday morning, everybody looked like a luminous oompah-lumpah and it stayed that way for over 30 minutes! We thought that it had finally gone completely, so, I ordered a new TV (as this one was over 15 years old) and it came yesterday evening. In the meantime, the next time I turned the old one on, there was nothing wrong with it!!!
