Tufted Duck

I had to stay at home this morning as the boiler was being serviced. The guy is always very punctual and chatty and was in and out quickly whilst hubby took the old TV to the recycling centre and did a bit of grocery shopping. 
This afternoon, it was quite dull, but essentially dry, so we just had a short walk over at Phoenix Park. We did see a kingfisher a couple of times, flying along the canal, but there was not much else about. There were two swans who are obviously used to being fed as they came up to us as soon as we arrived, a few mallards and some tufties. 

When we got home we found that we couldn't get the washing machine to work. It had been on for a wash this morning and was fine, but now it just wouldn't start the program or change it or anything. Very strange. 
I did some googling and eventually found that it had a child lock that had either been activated accidentally by the boiler man, or unintentionally by my husband when he turned it on again. Anyway, I found how to turn it off and the second wash is now on its way. Isn't the internet wonderful sometimes?!!!
