We spent the day in and around NTS Brodick Castle, where there was more than enough to keep everyone happy.

This was the panoramic view of the mountains of the northern part of the island that we saw on the way.  The highest peak, Goatfell (2866ft), is middle right - and in the foreground, the autumn colours of the trees are at their very best . . . . . . .
