Mates

Watching Al and his friend Lola walking home today reminded me of Betsy and her friend Sam. Thick as thieves, the lot of them.

Went swimming with Claire and Lola after school. Al and Lola went on the watersides the entire time. Betsy is like a border collie. Miserable if she doesn't get enough exercise and bounding around in joyous enthusiasm whenever she's doing anything active.

She's on a sporting high as her photo is on the school PE blog, and yesterday we got a letter saying she's in the G&T sports programme at school. In contrast she's also decided to start extra-curricular Latin next year.
