Lady Chatterley

I saw this DVD in HMV today.

I worked on this title on its original release in 1993, twenty years ago.

Writing good copy is hard, and good strap lines even harder. I have written some God-awful stuff in my time, but even I had to laugh at this;

''A Passionate Tale of Forbidden Love with a Generous Helping of Very, Very Erotic Sex''

I love the use of the Enid Blyton-esque phrase 'generous helping' in this unusual context!

We were all so in love with Sean Bean back then. Even now I'm mad about his thrilling telling of the Arthur Stories in Al's CD. Could there be any accent more compelling when talking of 'Sur Kaye', 'Cassle Corbennick', 'Sur 'Ector', or especially, (swoon), 'Morganna LaFay'.
