Tunnel End

A little out of sorts this morning after a night punctuated by vivid and disturbing dreams. My mood wasn't improved when I managed to trip on an 'unexpected' item after taking some gardening equipment out of the little shed. Landed very heavily on one knee on the stone flags, and saw stars. Ice (the pack of energy peas that's kept in the freezer for such occasions) was applied, and I'm fairly sure that there's no major damage, though the knee's painful and a bit swollen. Suspect there'll be an impressive bruise in a day or two though!

Had intended to spend the afternoon working in the garden, but MrM persuaded me to accompany him to a music session, which would include some gypsy jazz. It was at the Waterside cafe at Tunnel End near Marsden, with the promise of a canal-side walk and a Blip opportunity or two. Turned out that the venue was at a picturesque spot but not ideal for a music session, and there was no parking nearby. So we parked at the station car park in Marsden and had tea and cake at a cafe there before walking along the towpath to the session. A very pleasant walk on a mild October afternoon. We stayed until the light was fading and walked back by the canal in the gloaming.

Home for a very late meal.
