River of Flowers

Tuesday: Hydrangea & Sparrows …

… which you can’t hear but will have to take my word for it, that they are making sooo much noise! They’re only small birds but there’s a few dozen in the brambles over the wall and another gang of them further along - maybe they’re in competition with each other!!

MrD went off after breakfast to visit his friend with the motorbike business in the mountains, then went for a ride around - home mid-afternoon in time for coffee :-))

I checked the washing basket, which was full - weather dry so washing sorted!

Also pruned a couple of the straight stems from the rootstock of the twisted hazel, the thicker parts of the stems are ideal as support for all sorts of flowers and vegetables, the thinner branches are perfect for making bases for wreaths - https://www.blipfoto.com/entry/2507606734487422008 - that season is fast approaching …

Biscuits out for the hedgehogs same time as last night but only the mother seen tonight. A little later a long skein of wild geese flew over, didn’t have my phone handy to take a photo but amazing to see them! :-)

Love and hugs to all my family XXXX XXX XX

Nos da pawb / goodnight all xx
