Myfanwy and Goronwy ap Tudur Fychan
Anglesey is full of intriguing beautiful small churches such as St Gredifael's. Dating from the 6th century its origins lie in the post Roman dark ages. It contains the tombs of Myfanwy, a beautiful Welsh noblewoman who is said to have inspired the song named after her, and her husband Goronwy, grandfather of Owain Tudor and great great grandfather of Henry VII. They were initially interred in the nearby priory in Llanfaes, but at the dissolution of the monasteries, instigated by their great great great grandson, HenryVIII, they were moved to St Gredifael.
