Ffair Borth

Growing up in Bangor, the annual Menai Bridge (Borth is the Welsh name of the town) fair was something we always looked forward to. As I drove over the Menai Bridge (Pont Menai in Welsh) this evening I couldn’t understand the heavy traffic until I saw these bright lights and whirling lasers. I stopped for a trip down memory lane: the fair hasn't changed very much really, and compared to DisneyLand or other amusement parks in California is pretty lame, but the excitement I sensed in the crowd mirrored that which I had felt half a century ago.
