As soon as I got up and saw the clear sky I decided to postpone plan A for the morning and think of alternatives. After far too much thinking I got in the car and drove to Keswick. If I hadn’t gone out when I did I fear I wouldn’t have moved from the sofa all morning.
I parked at Booths (so I could buy a few groceries at the end) and walked around to the Oxfam shop with a bag of clothes. Then I took the route to the lake that I usually do in reverse. Perhaps because of that I noticed the Edward VII post box in extras and the pods for afternoon tea in the main. They may have been there since the days of social distancing and outdoor dining but I’ve never noticed them walking in the opposite direction.
