Capability Brown?

As it was better weather than I expected I popped to Hampton Court this morning to see the displays of pumpkins and some of the ghosts there this week….. Capability Brown was checking his design for the garden, Jane Seymour was upstairs in one of the galleries also Ann  Boleyn and Antonio Verrio a painter I was not familiar with ….who  painted the big Kings staircase. The ghosts moved around, mumbled a bit but did not speak ; lots of children seemed fascinated and there was a useful leaflet so they could work out who they were and some info about them. There was a big queue to get in when I left so it’s good that Hampton a court is now getting lots of visitors again after the disruption of the lockdown and lack of overseas visitors.

This afternoon we did some sorting of papers and books before a dog walk which needs to get earlier every day!
