Not ideal

The roofers have resumed work post-Babet; I'm always amused to see (and hear!) an old-style pulley in action. Have worked through so many problems teaching students basic mechanics where in the early stages they are instructed to keep things simple by assuming that strings are light and inextensible and that pulleys are 'ideal'!

Spent some time wrangling with mp3 and wav files. Time flies like an arrow.....(but fruit flies....yes, yes).
