Autumn

Summer seemed to go on forever, then there was some bad weather, and now it's settled back into undoubted autumn, which occurred to me when I saw this leaf on my car as I set off for my guitar lesson with Paolo.

I reckon I've been having my lessons with him for about eighteen months now. Week by week, the progress is incremental to the point of imperceptibility. But I can look back - just a few months - on tunes I couldn't play and techniques that seemed they'd be beyond me forever, and now they are within my ability.

Anyway, we had a good lesson today, learning a new tune that I picked up with a quickness that made me very happy, so I celebrated by popping 'round to PMT and buying an overdrive pedal :-)
