Warton Quarry
This is the third of the four quarries in our AONB.
This is the second one to be turned into a successful
nature reserve. Its most important feature is the Peregrine Falcons which nest up on the cliff face. Many will know that they are the fastest living creatures.
My extra gives another view from which you can see what a vast amount of limestone was removed when the quarry was operational.
