A Day In The Life

Crabby

No, not me, these crabapples :) • A few weeks ago when the tree pruning guy stopped by to give us a quote I asked him what these fruits were. I first noticed them a few years ago during late fall. I’ve blipped red squirrels holding and nibbling the fruit and always assumed they were cherries. He said because it was unique among the boxelders and willows it was likely planted by a squirrel or deer. They look enticing with the bright foliage • A lovely day spent outdoors today! Because the mass shooter was found dead last night we relished the freedom to move about without fear • I mowed the grass, stacked wood to burn next year in the fire-pit, packed more seasonal items away in the shed, picked up acorns, etc. A productive day after spending two hideous days locked up inside • A celebratory G&T is in my future, while MrsP muses a glass of wine • Cheers on this last Saturday in October!
