Some photos from The Piggy Park Food Growing area.
The Feast Day of Saint Narcissus of Jerusalem. Born 99AD.
Today was a lovely Sunday with a visit home from my daughter Maria.
She went to see our grandson C, who is 18 years old tomorrow.
The years seem to have flown.
It was milder temperature and sunny. 12c outdoors. The wind has brought down many leaves from our trees. The clocks going back, means the evenings get darker sooner.
I walked to Cut Wood Park this afternoon and enjoyed the beauty and peace. There is a carpet of colourful Autumn leaves in russet and gold from the oak, beech, birch and sycamore trees.
I saw three squirrels. Someone had scattered pumpkin in the woodland and a squirrel was eagerly eating the orange flesh.
Then I wandered through The Piggy Park and took these photos in today's collage.I met one of the organisers of the allotments who was settling down the raised bed for the Winter. As we chatted he constructed a rockery near a man made pond which will have, in time, hopefully, a variety of microbiodiversity and perhaps frogs and waterlilies. You can see the Bat box on the tall tree. There are little slits for the bats to get in.The local school children have Nature lessons there and learn forest skills.
I am making my evening soup.
Have a good evening and thank you for visiting my blip site.
