Wimbledon Quarter

My flu jab was at 11:30am. I didn’t want to rush there and arrive out of breath so decided to take the train. There was a lot of paperwork form filling in Superdrug that seems could have been collected in advance when we made the booking. Still, the process was easy. My arm ached a little for the rest of the day but I had no other symptoms. PY felt a cold in the evening and had a Lemsip, but it wasn’t bad.

While we were in the old Centre Court shopping centre we noticed that the barriers had been removed at the far end and the escalators were running. We went to look. They have really opened out the far end and the retractable roof was open. There was some event in the new area downstairs but none of the units were open. The Third Space gym seems to be well under construction at the top. There are two new gyms in Wimbledon: The Third Space and a big Anytime Fitness plus a totally revamped Virgin Active all advertising for business. Be interesting to see which are still here in a year or two.

At the station, we were on the 12:06 to Woking where we bought a few things for for family. We intended to go to C's flat but the rain arrived and it was decided that it would be easier to meet at the restaurant: Marciano Lounge. We had a lovely meal with to celebrate Jo’s birthday. At one point a couple arrived with boisterous staffy pup. There was lots of attention.
