Return to Cors Bodgynydd

We last visited Cors Bodgynydd, in early September, though it still felt like high summer. Today, it’s definitely autumnal, summer’s greens disappearing under a veil of bronze and gold.

The paths around this mountain wetland are predictably damp and muddy after recent rains, but today it’s dry with tantalising patches of sunlight which momentarily light up the landscape, burnishing the views with glorious autumn colour.

There’s no sign of the sundews - either they’ve entered their winter dormancy or they’re in the marshy area we can’t reach today - and the grazing ponies fail to make an appearance. It matters not, because today it’s the landscape that is the star attraction.

My main is captured while the sun breaks through the clouds; the extra taken from a different viewpoint across the same  lake when the mood has changed.
