Diary of an Edinburgher

By LadyMarchmont

Archie and I set off for a wander round town via the bus. I had no plan of where I was going. Just a wander.

So we got off the bus at Greyfriar's Church. Past Bobby's statue and round to the Flodden Wall. Lots of walking tour groups there, in different languages.

We then turned right, not left when we came out of the graveyard. So we didn't go to the Grassmarket, but along the Cowgate. It's not the most salubrious of areas. JR would call it 'edgy'...

We passed these bulls - apparently it's a restaurant/night club. I was on the other side of the road, and you can see I'd tied his lead on to gate - I didn't want him rushing across to get his treat once I'd taken the photo, which is what he usually does. A coupLe of girls on my side of the road took photos of him too.

We then walked up the Royal Mile, and took the bus home. I briefly thought of getting off at the Meadows to give Archie more walking (and sniffing, and piddling), but I was too tired. So I was most annoyed to find that my new phone had not counted my steps today!! and that's not all - I've had to log in to lots of things that I don't actually know the password for (never needed it) eg Twitter X, Amazon music, Apple Pay etc. It takes a few days to get a new phone organised.
