Late afternoon light

After an enjoyable sprint cycle class I was back home for breakfast.  Some general sorting out of things at home before heading out to pick my husband up from a nearby friends house.  Really it was an excuse to see his friend who is recovering from a double hip operation.  He was looking very well and is so pleased to be able to stand and walk with crutches in an upright position.  

The late morning rainy showers weather continued throughout the day but we had a period of dry weather in the late afternoon when I managed to take this scene of the nearby hills.
