An Interesting Encounter

M and I went into town for coffee and cake this morning. I spotted this pumpkin in the window of one of our very attractive antique shops and decided it would be perfect for Halloween. . This one sells mostly china and glassware. As I was crouching down in front of the window to take the photo, the shop owner, Richard, popped his head out the door and welcomed us inside. What an interesting gentleman, he used to work at the V&A restoring historic ceramic items. He’s 87 now and still works in the shop, such a lovely man, and charmingly eccentric.

We very much enjoyed a chat with him and of course, we enjoyed stroking his little dog Roxy.
