A surprise visit

Last night Tommy and Inca arrived back from Edinburgh where they had a wonderful couple of days. After landing at Luton airport, Tommy was going to drive home from there and Inca was getting the train back to Cambridge. However the useless trains were not running again so she could not get back to Cambridge, so she came home with Tommy instead.

Today was sunny and bright so I walked Xena in the foods and took note of more fungi to photograph tomorrow. Inca worked this morning and then we went to the vegan café in the village for lunch, which was delicious. I had a green Thai vegetable curry, Tommy had a pasta dish and Inca had Bao buns with miso cauliflower.

They have now caught the train to London to join a friend for his birthday celebration. I grabbed this photo as they were leaving. 

There are lots of children doing trick or treating in our neighbourhood tonight in celebration of Halloween, but unless you have a pumpkin on display they won't come calling. However someone has decided to let off fireworks which has unsettled Xena very much. 

Tonight we have our quarterly camera club committee meeting and as club secretary I have been compiling the reports from the various committee members and started drafting the minutes. I have to take minutes at the meeting tonight and then prepare the final pack of minutes and attachments.
