Arctic Skua

After the mists of the last couple of days, the clouds disappeared this morning to offer a beautiful sunny afternoon - ideal for a walk on the beach.

This dark-phase Arctic Skua seemed very happy to spend time just pottering around on the beach too.

It's the first Arctic Skua I've seen this year.
