Never got off the farm…
I was intending to go to London today but as the trains fell like dominoes I resigned myself to working at home. I had to lose a long planned lunch and a filmed interview but once I’d made the decision it was a relief. I wanted to go for a walk but every time I stepped out the door the heavens opened so I kept putting it off and in the end never went. The rain was incessant.
V had a friend over for lunch so the house felt lively as I ran through the rain for tea and time out.
In the early evening I went over to see Mum, driving through floods even on main roads made me slightly regret it on the way. Brother J had alarmed us in the day with a photo of what appeared to be a collapsed ceiling but what, once a CD was put in the frame, was shown to be a collapsed shelf. Scale is everything.
