Livia and Roger - Dinner for ten!
As I wrote yesterday we decided to take the car to Sundsvall, not the camper van. This was the correct decision! Most of the way the roads were fine but the first section was down our hill on soggy, icy snow, and the final part was down a similar slope to the car park at L & R's. In all probability the van, with its new all-weather tyres, would have been fine but it would have been stressful in those two places.
We drove mostly in daylight and were the first to arrive. We were providing the starter so we had to construct the meat, cheese, and veg platter. Jan had baked soul cakes which were very popular.
Everyone had come with something and there were two starters, two deserts, bubbly alcohol and wine, and an Estonian liquor, with our hosts providing the main course and alcoholic back-up. Things went well and I'm fairly sure the four people who were new to the group felt quite at home. Maybe we'll meet them again in a year's time at another dinner!
Everyone went home around midnight leaving the four of us to talk about camper vans and other adventures until about two in the morning.
