Granloholm

When we woke up this morning this was the view from our bedroom window. Garages, gardens and apartments, a small part of Granloholm in Sundsvall. It was +5°C and pouring with rain, as forecast. The snow looks ok in this picture but in reality it is 15 cm thick slush - horrible stuff!
To be honest I felt less than 100% when I woke up. A shortage of sleep, having gone to bed so late, combined with a slight feeling of hang-over - where did that come from? Anyway, breakfast and chat with our hosts helped my body back onto an even keel and by the time we set off for home I was fine.
The drive went well, despite the atrocious weather. Again we were happy to be in the car with winter tyres, giving good grip.
Even though we drove right up to our front door unpacking the car meant getting fairly wet but that didn't mater so much as we were home.  Once inside we lit the stove (extra) and hunkered down there for an hour or so, drying out and warming up.
What an interesting weekend it has been so far...
