It worked.

I wanted to encourage the yellow hammers into the garden so bought some finch seed and placed it on the ground feeder.It worked.This male yellow hammer made its first visit yesterday and returned today,the majority of the time underneath the feeder but it popped out just enough time for me to get this quick snap.
According to the RSPB it is one of the birds on red status due to its 'recent population decline'.

We are off to the cinema later to see Man of Steel the new superman film and a meal at The Filling Station.David,my youngest, was 21 on Monday but he has been working all week so we decided to celebrate today instead.
