I nipped across to the local co-op to pick up a few odds and ends and to tax my car - how weird to go and get a tax disc for nothing! The grounds round the block of flats were being manicured by the contract gardener, and as I came back I noticed this bird taking advantage of the newly mown grass to get at er tasty titbits. It was still there by the time I'd got up to my flat, grabbed the camera, and opened the window.
