Tufted Titmouse

Hubby was up at 4:00 to feed a very loud kitty, then again at 5:00 to get ready for his day. He went to help at the monthly KofC breakfast. I worked around the house for a bit. Had my morning coffee on the back porch. This tiny titmouse stopped by for a visit. Finally got my 2023 Christmas spreadsheet ready and actually started entering gifts. Hubby brought my brunch plate home before heading to watch Brooklyn’s soccer game. They won 3-2 and he said Brookie made some fantastic saves. I prepared the baking potatoes and cucumber salad to take to my mother’s. Also collected the ingredients for Zuppa Toscano. My sister met me and we finished preparing the meal and doing a few last minute cleaning jobs. Our guest arrived right on time and thoroughly enjoyed his seafood meal. We made the soup for tomorrow’s card party, a regular Monday night event at our mother’s home. It was 7:00 pm before we finished cleaning her kitchen, making our arrival time at our homes 8:00. Of course that includes two trips back to our mother’s house for me to get stuff we left behind. My BIL and son both called me about 30 minutes before we left. They got word there was a house fire near my neighborhood and wanted to make sure it wasn’t our home. Hubby did not have his hearing aids in so he wasn’t aware of any activity in the area. We now think it must have been a small fire with little damage. Thank you Lord. Kinda gave me a panic for a few minutes though. I believe we will have a pretty quiet week. Good news.
