Lunch in Woolwich

Note to self must take a softer pillow to their house, as I woke up with terrible crick in my neck.  A lot of discussion on timing and how to see Rory’s flat as well as have lunch together but in the end we just met at Dial Arch a nice pub in Woolwich for a rather delicious brunch.  The babies were very easy for the best part of an hour until Ivy got bored.  So we wandered out in what was lovely sunshine and walked down by the river.  Funny to be sea side of the Thames Barrier, both boys had been there on school outings and said how far it had felt then from West London. Which of course it is.

Beet full of fascinating facts about the Woolwich ferry, brand spanking new boats, apparently hardly used but has to be kept open by ancient law.  Popped down to look at the foot tunnel too.

Replacement bus service on way home which was not as fearful as it can be as one was running direct to Petersfield, inadvertently kidnapping passengers to Haslemere who hadn’t been told it wasn’t stopping there.

V’s old friend Alysha was staying and he cooked a delicious moussaka for dinner.
