So long summer

I could have left the petunias flowering on but they aren’t producing much anymore although the sticky stems and brilliantly coloured flowers last surprisingly well in a vase. But i pulled them up and planted Queen of the Night tulips and apricot wallflowers in the biggest tub.  A whole day without rain!  It was delightful to get into the garden.

Pilates first thing and stopped by to get the papers on the way home.  A lot of flooding on the roads from another burst of rain last night but it looks dry for a few days.  The river Rother is very high at the moment.

V’s friend Alysha set off for Oxford first thing, having always wanted to see it on one of her first trips to England.  V had to take her to Guildford of course because of RBS.

I managed a good walk up in the woods with the dog.  We’re lucky, when the weather is like this that we are on sand so although he comes back wet it isn’t always muddy but small sandpits accumulate in certain areas.

Did a lot of photographing and sorted clothes for Vinted, trying hard to cut down on buying new by selling old or at least clearing out things I never wear.  Or in truth that I don’t really like.

Cooked spicy meatballs and patatas bravas which was more fiddly than I thought, mainly from trying to find,  and in some cases grind, all the spice. Still, they were rather delicious.   Watched another episode of Bodies which is getting a bit silly.  Distracted by the fact that one of our young leads has a main part whereas I thought he hadn’t done any TV before….
