Floating Shinto shrine gate at Miyajima.

A day mostly spent in Hiroshima. In torrential rain visited ground zero, the peace park and the Peace museum. Sombre stuff, and full of sadness for the 200,000 who died as the result of the first atom bomb.
More upbeat was this visit to see this iconic gate. Tranquil traditional village, with a pagoda and lots of deer roaming freely in the town. Lifted the spirit after a tough day.
