Palais des Nations

Geneva is home to more international organisations than any other city, especially those concerned with justice, law, peace, health and humanitarian causes generally.

I have pictured the European headquarters of the United Nations, Located in the Palace of Nations building, it was formerly the headquarters of the League of Nations. The flags of all UN member nations are displayed.

Many agencies have HQ's here, including the High Commissioner for Refugees, the High Commissioner for Human Rights, World Health Organisation, the International Labour Organisation, International Telecommunication Union, the International Baccalaureate Organisation, and the World Intellectual Property Organisation.

Apart from UN agencies, Geneva hosts many inter-governmental organisations such as the World Trade Organisation, World Meteorological Organisation, the World Economic Forum, the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies, the International Organisation for Migration, and the International Committee of the Red Cross.

Organizations on the European level include the European Broadcasting Union and CERN (European Organisation for Nuclear Research) - the world's largest particle physics laboratory.
