Water Feature
I suspect we are not the only ones in and around Falmouth to have suffered damage in the storms. As Mrs S and I suspected what had previously been a “drip-drip” of water turned into something far worse.
A combination of the previous small leak and the widow fitters clearing away the build up of earth and weeds that had stopped the water from coming in has caused the damage.
These days roofers and builders available to work are becoming as rare as dentists but we have a couple coming to take a look. We always knew that we were going to spend some money on house renovations this coming year and that part of that would be on the roof so we are just advancing those plans.
Talking of dentists, a not unexpected surprise awaiting me at mine today, I made an appointment after losing a filling. On arrival I discovered there are no NHS dentists remaining in Falmouth and that the initial £49 fee for the examination very quickly reached £1,000+ to repair the damage. Apparently ‘plans & terms’ are available but exactly where do these dental practises expect patients to conjure up that sort of money from?
