Athens Day One

Athens was a long time on Carys's wish list. So today was the day. We arrived at lunchtime after a very early start. We negotiated the underground from the airport to very close to the hotel with no issues. Hotel was good, great position and fine for what we needed. Great view from the roof terrace. We had a snooze, which we clearly all needed as they both crashed! We then went out to explore. 
Basically you trip over ruins where ever you go. We had a good wander. Stopped for a drink in a random square and then found a restaurant that would serve us all food to our taste (ie: a burger for Will). Carys had beef stifado and I had chicken souvlaki. Back home for an early night before an early start tomorrow.
